Merry Chrismas

My First Christmas

Boy o' boy what a special time of year! I did lots and lots of fun things. I got dressed in a new outfit from Beea and we went to see a whole bunch of trees with lights on them. Mommy, Daddy, Grampy, and Grammy all went in the car with me. The lights were all different colors.  I would tell you what colors they were, but I don't know my colors yet.

After awhile the tress started playing music and the lights started changing colors. The music was very loud, so Daddy took me away to protect my ears.  I watched the lights for a little bit, but I had enough so I decided to take a nap.

The next day Mommy and Daddy said  that this guy called 'Sant-a-claus' came into our house and brought me presents. (I wonder if he is related to Dave the mover).  I don't like strange people in the house, but Mommy and Daddy said this time it was okay. Still, I must learn more about this 'Sant-a claus' fella. Grammy and Grampy came over too and we had breakfast outside.....well at least they did. I sat in my bumbo and watched them eat like I always do. After breakfast, we opened up the presents from 'Sant-a-claus'. I liked playing with the paper, but everyone told me the present was inside. I would have saved 'Sant-a-claus' a lot of trouble if he had just brought me paper instead. That is okay, because Grammy and Grampy helped me open some of the presents and I liked what was inside too.

Daddy and I played with some of my new toys. It was a lot of fun.

When all of the presents were opened, we did another fun thing. We got in the car (again) and went to the beach. This is my second time to the beach. The first time was during Thanksgiving, but this time was different. It was much warmer outside and we got to go down by the water. Plus I wore my brand new 'kools' and sun hat.  On the beach, there is this white stuff called sand. It is mushy and looks like my cereal. Mommy and Daddy said it was not cereal and I should not eat it. There is so much to learn.

I had so much fun at the beach....I want to go back again someday.

What an exciting few days! I got lots of new toys and had a fun time with everyone at the beach. So in the words of this 'Sant-a-claus' guy: "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night."

Moving time

 Moving Time

On Friday a great big truck came to our house, very early in the morning. The man who came out of the truck said his name was Dave and he was going to take our stuff to Florida. I did not want anyone to take my stuff away, but Mommy and Daddy said it was okay.  I couldn't disagree with them because I can't talk yet.

It was sad spending Friday night in the house without anything in there.  The next morning, Mommy and Daddy said goodbye to our neighbors and we got in the car. We took a long drive to a place called New Jersey. I don't know how long it took to get there because I was asleep. When we got there, I saw the apartment where Mommy and Daddy first lived. Then, they drove to a town called Westfield and had Qdoba for dinner with a special treat for dessert. All they kept talking about was how good the gelato was for dessert and it was worth the drive.  Once again they did not share any with me.....just more milk for me. Westfield seemed like a very nice town...I wish I could have spent more time there. After dinner we drove some more and finally got to a hotel. Whew, I was tired.

The very next morning, much to my chagrin,  we got back in the car again!!! Luckily I am a good baby and enjoy riding in the car. We drove through Delaware, Marys-land, Washington D.C. and then stopped in Virginia. Mommy said that 'Warshington' is the capitol of the country and tried to show me some buildings. That was nice of her, but it didn't mean much to me. I like looking at my toys better.

When we got to Virginia, we came to this very big, long and shiny box on wheels. Mommy and Daddy said it was a train. Wow, I am only 5 months old and have already been on a plane, a car, a boat, and now a train.  When we got there, Mommy and Daddy gave their cars to the people. I was worried because Dave took our stuff and now this 'train' took our cars.....am I next ?!?!? They said it was okay because the train was going to take us to Florida. The train was very long.....Daddy said it is the longest people train in the world and is almost a mile long......boy is he smart.

The train went all night long. We had a special cabin just to us...that was nice because I got to spend some good time with Mommy and Daddy. They seemed to like it too. Daddy liked looking out the window and Mommy liked looking at me. There was a whole bunch of things to do on the train. We even went to a different room to eat dinner.  When we came back from dinner, our room was magically changed into a bed room!!! Trains are cool!

The next morning when I woke up, we were in Florida.  I had been to Florida once before, but I was very little then.  I am much older now. After we got off  the train, they gave us our cars back. The people were very nice to give our cars back. We still had some driving to do after the train, but that is okay because I am a good baby and I like riding in the car.  Mommy and Daddy decided to stop for Qdoba again for lunch.....note to self: I must try this 'Qdoba' thing some day. It must be better than milk if Mommy and Daddy like it so much.

But I digress....after some more driving, we got to a new house.  Mommy and Daddy said this was our new home and Dave would be here in a few days with my stuff.  I am a little sad that we no longer live in Rhode Island, but both Mommy and Daddy seem to think I will like it here. It seems good so far.....it is warm and there are these things called palm trees in my front yard.

Hmm...this may not be so bad after all.
