Surviving Hurricane Irene

Today was my very first hurricane.  There was a lot of rain and wind, but mommy and daddy stayed close to me to make sure that I was safe. They even dressed me up in a special hurricane outfit so that I was prepared for the storm.  We lost power for a few hours and lots of trees on our street fell down...this made me feel sad because I like trees.
