Merry Chrismas

My First Christmas

Boy o' boy what a special time of year! I did lots and lots of fun things. I got dressed in a new outfit from Beea and we went to see a whole bunch of trees with lights on them. Mommy, Daddy, Grampy, and Grammy all went in the car with me. The lights were all different colors.  I would tell you what colors they were, but I don't know my colors yet.

After awhile the tress started playing music and the lights started changing colors. The music was very loud, so Daddy took me away to protect my ears.  I watched the lights for a little bit, but I had enough so I decided to take a nap.

The next day Mommy and Daddy said  that this guy called 'Sant-a-claus' came into our house and brought me presents. (I wonder if he is related to Dave the mover).  I don't like strange people in the house, but Mommy and Daddy said this time it was okay. Still, I must learn more about this 'Sant-a claus' fella. Grammy and Grampy came over too and we had breakfast outside.....well at least they did. I sat in my bumbo and watched them eat like I always do. After breakfast, we opened up the presents from 'Sant-a-claus'. I liked playing with the paper, but everyone told me the present was inside. I would have saved 'Sant-a-claus' a lot of trouble if he had just brought me paper instead. That is okay, because Grammy and Grampy helped me open some of the presents and I liked what was inside too.

Daddy and I played with some of my new toys. It was a lot of fun.

When all of the presents were opened, we did another fun thing. We got in the car (again) and went to the beach. This is my second time to the beach. The first time was during Thanksgiving, but this time was different. It was much warmer outside and we got to go down by the water. Plus I wore my brand new 'kools' and sun hat.  On the beach, there is this white stuff called sand. It is mushy and looks like my cereal. Mommy and Daddy said it was not cereal and I should not eat it. There is so much to learn.

I had so much fun at the beach....I want to go back again someday.

What an exciting few days! I got lots of new toys and had a fun time with everyone at the beach. So in the words of this 'Sant-a-claus' guy: "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night."

Moving time

 Moving Time

On Friday a great big truck came to our house, very early in the morning. The man who came out of the truck said his name was Dave and he was going to take our stuff to Florida. I did not want anyone to take my stuff away, but Mommy and Daddy said it was okay.  I couldn't disagree with them because I can't talk yet.

It was sad spending Friday night in the house without anything in there.  The next morning, Mommy and Daddy said goodbye to our neighbors and we got in the car. We took a long drive to a place called New Jersey. I don't know how long it took to get there because I was asleep. When we got there, I saw the apartment where Mommy and Daddy first lived. Then, they drove to a town called Westfield and had Qdoba for dinner with a special treat for dessert. All they kept talking about was how good the gelato was for dessert and it was worth the drive.  Once again they did not share any with me.....just more milk for me. Westfield seemed like a very nice town...I wish I could have spent more time there. After dinner we drove some more and finally got to a hotel. Whew, I was tired.

The very next morning, much to my chagrin,  we got back in the car again!!! Luckily I am a good baby and enjoy riding in the car. We drove through Delaware, Marys-land, Washington D.C. and then stopped in Virginia. Mommy said that 'Warshington' is the capitol of the country and tried to show me some buildings. That was nice of her, but it didn't mean much to me. I like looking at my toys better.

When we got to Virginia, we came to this very big, long and shiny box on wheels. Mommy and Daddy said it was a train. Wow, I am only 5 months old and have already been on a plane, a car, a boat, and now a train.  When we got there, Mommy and Daddy gave their cars to the people. I was worried because Dave took our stuff and now this 'train' took our cars.....am I next ?!?!? They said it was okay because the train was going to take us to Florida. The train was very long.....Daddy said it is the longest people train in the world and is almost a mile long......boy is he smart.

The train went all night long. We had a special cabin just to us...that was nice because I got to spend some good time with Mommy and Daddy. They seemed to like it too. Daddy liked looking out the window and Mommy liked looking at me. There was a whole bunch of things to do on the train. We even went to a different room to eat dinner.  When we came back from dinner, our room was magically changed into a bed room!!! Trains are cool!

The next morning when I woke up, we were in Florida.  I had been to Florida once before, but I was very little then.  I am much older now. After we got off  the train, they gave us our cars back. The people were very nice to give our cars back. We still had some driving to do after the train, but that is okay because I am a good baby and I like riding in the car.  Mommy and Daddy decided to stop for Qdoba again for lunch.....note to self: I must try this 'Qdoba' thing some day. It must be better than milk if Mommy and Daddy like it so much.

But I digress....after some more driving, we got to a new house.  Mommy and Daddy said this was our new home and Dave would be here in a few days with my stuff.  I am a little sad that we no longer live in Rhode Island, but both Mommy and Daddy seem to think I will like it here. It seems good so far.....it is warm and there are these things called palm trees in my front yard.

Hmm...this may not be so bad after all.

Thanksgiving

What an exciting weekend. I went down to Beea and Poppi's house for my first Thanksgiving.

Mommy and Daddy gave me a special hat to wear just for the occasion. I liked the colors....they matched the leaves on the trees.

On the way to Beea and Poppi's house, I got to ride on the ferry for the first time. It was a really big boat with lots of people on it. I was good and made lots of friends. People like making me smile.

Mommy, Daddy, Beea, Poppi, and GG had lots and lots of food. It was a special day for me too....I had something called squash....It was really good, but I made a mess. Squash is a funny name, but it tastes good.

The weather was so nice and warm. Mommy and Daddy took me to Hoyt Farm Park on Friday and to Sunken Meadow Beach on Saturday. At the park we went on a swing, walking in the woods, and I got to see some rabbits, chickens, and a big pig at the farm.  I felt like I was flying when I was on the swing with Daddy.

We also went for a walk on the boardwalk with Beea....well technically it was more of a roll for me and a walk for them. They did all of the work, but I don't think they minded.

GG and I had a good time together too. She sang me some silly songs which made me smile.

Overall, it was a great weekend. I give it 2 thumbs up!

My first sail

Yesterday Mommy and Daddy's friends Jeremy and Kendra were so nice and took the whole family sailing on their boat. It was a nice boat with big white sails and comfy seats. I spent most of the time next to Daddy so I would not get cold. It was very windy and it felt like the boat was going to tip over. Daddy said not to worry because Jeremy and Kendra were good sailors.

Mommy and Daddy even got a chance to join in the fun. Some parts were very wavy and rough. Daddy and Jeremy were very excited about all of the waves.
They made sure I was safe and put a big orange thingy around me.They called it a life vest and said that it will help me float. I did not want to find out if it works. Everything was good because Mommy and Daddy made sure that I stayed safe and warm.

At the end of the day, I even got a chance to sail the boat...it was so much fun!!!

Thank you Jeremy and Kendra!

4 Months Old

I am getting soooo big!!!

My First Halloween

Mommy and Daddy were all excited about dressing me up in a silly costume. I don't quite get what all of the fuss is about, but they said that one day I will be very happy when Halloween comes around. I had to put on many layers because it was cold outside. Then, Mommy and Daddy put me inside a pink costume. I don't know what a whoopie cushion is, but every body that we saw seemed to like it. So it must be something fun. I have heard Daddy say that he likes whoopie pies...I wonder if they are related?

Maine

This weekend Mommy and Daddy took me to Maine for the very first time. I did lots of things.

We went to the Old Port for lunch on Friday. We went up and down lots and lots of streets.  It was a very bumpy ride on all of the side walks, but I did not complain. Mommy and Daddy kept raving about this great pizza they ate for lunch. Unfortunately, all I got was a bottle of milk.  Dinner was more of the same for me, but Mommy and Daddy seemed happy with their food. After dinner they had ice cream and we walked down by the water to look at some boats. The ice cream looked really good, but they did not give me any...even though it IS just frozen milk after all.

On Saturday, we had a very busy day. Mommy and Daddy had breakfast at Mr. Bagel. I had...you guessed it...more milk. Then, we went to Freeport. We walked through the L.L. Bean store.....boy that store is huge!! The best part was when Mommy and Daddy bought me my lobster shirt at a lobster con-ser-va-shon (whew!) shop.....and I got to see my very first lobster. They looked scary.

After that, I saw where Mommy and Daddy used to live, and where they met for the very first time.  We went for a walk by the water and saw some really nice houses. Daddy tried really hard to take a picture of me smiling, but...well...lets just say that I did my thing, and he did his.

It was sad when it started to get dark, because that meant our trip was almost over. Mommy and Daddy had dinner at their favorite Thai restaurant in Kennebunk.....and I had more milk.  After dinner we stopped for dessert at another restaurant before driving home.....I was not hungry, but I think Mommy and Daddy just wanted to stay in Maine a little longer.

After all of that, I was tired and decided to go to sleep. Mommy made sure that I was nice and warm. I want to go back to Maine again.....except maybe next time they will let me have more than milk...

What a weekend!!

Wow, what a busy weekend!

On Saturday, Mommy and Daddy took me for a walk by the water at Colt State Park. It was very warm for October, so we were outside for a long time. I like being by the water, and I think Mommy and Daddy do too.  I saw lots of sailboats......I can't wait to go sailing for the first time.

On Sunday we went to something called 'brunch' at a restaurant in Providence. I was confused at first, but I think I got it figured out.....because Daddy ordered breakfast and Mommy ordered lunch....I am so smart.

Sunday night I saw something fantastic. Mommy and Daddy took me to the Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular at the Roger Williams Zoo......that's a mouthful for me to say. Daddy took lots of pictures so I can see what the pumpkins look like because I fell asleep about half way through.

Finally on Monday, we went to a farm in Smithfield. Daddy picked a lot of apples from the trees while Mommy held me tight. Luckily none of the apples fell and hit me in the head! After that, we went to look at pumpkins.....these pumpkins were different than the ones I saw last night. There were no funny faces on them, and they were all lying on the ground. Maybe they come alive at night and sleep during the day. That is scary.

Mommy and Daddy thought it would be cute to take a picture of me in the pumpkin patch. They tried really hard to make me smile, but I was kind of tired......so I just sat there.

First Disney Trip

I just got back from my first trip to Florida with Mommy and Daddy. I was very good on the plane rides...Mommy and Daddy were worried for no reason. I like seeing and doing new things. We went to Tampa for a few days while Daddy went to a Medical Conference. After that I got to see a lot of houses as Mommy and Daddy were looking for a new place to live. Since I was so good, Mommy and Daddy took me to Disney World when they were all done. It was my first time there, and I got a special gift from the nice people who work there.

While at Disney, I got to ride on a monorail and a boat for the very first time! I also got to go swimming with Daddy for the first time too. That was a lot of fun, but I did not stay in the pool too long because Daddy thought I was getting cold.

I was also finally able to meet my cousins, Molly and Mackenzie. We got along great and had a fun time.....I can't wait to see them again.

The best of all, I got to spend a whole week with Mommy and Daddy.

US Open

Today mommy and daddy dressed me up in my special US Open tennis outfit. I had a personal moment with Roger Federer and wished him good luck. I was sad when he lost. Daddy said it was because Djokovic had a much easier bracket than Federer leading up to the semifinal match......whatever that means.

2 Months Old

I like lying in my crib and listening to my sleep sheep. It plays all sorts of relaxing nature sounds. Every month, Mommy and Daddy take a picture of me next to the sleep sheep to see how much I have grown. They can not belive how big I have gotten already. I keep telling them 'you an't seen nothing yet'.

Just look at the difference from last month!
